Solon, and the Evergreens Campground, will host this Adventure: a four-day workshop featuring hands-on instruction during daily field trips, in-depth classroom discussion, and professional guidance from Hunt’s Photo’s Director of Photo Adventures Don Toothaker in a rustic, relaxed atmosphere.
Solon is a small town at the edge of some of Maine’s premier wilderness areas. Once home to a vibrant farming and logging industry, Solon is now a quiet village that caters to outdoorsman and eco-tourism year round.
The homey Evergreen Campground is situated along the banks of the historic Kennebec River amid towering pine trees, stately maples, and beautiful birch. This peaceful setting is where attendees will stay in rustic cabins. All meals will be served in the log-hewn lodge, along the historic Kennebec River at the Evergreens Campground, where we will also hold classes and presentations. Daily field trips will provide everyone with a variety of subjects that showcase the beauty and diversity of the region.
