Join instructor Don Toothaker on Sunday night, August 30th, for a photo walk at Castle Island in South Boston. During the walk he will discuss Subject Development, Image Composition, Exposure, Black and White Photography, Low Light Photography, and Architectural Photography.
Jutting out into the Boston Harbor from South Boston lies the unique and beautiful Castle Island, along with one of its main attractions, the historic Fort Independence. During the summer months, the boulevard that guides you around the strip of land (which has been connected to the mainland since the 1930s) buzzes with activity. Fort Independence (a rebuilt defensive structure and former Massachusetts prison) overlooks the entire area on a hilltop. With a 360-degree hillside view and panoramas onto the bay and into Boston, as well as the lively activity, Castle Island is breathtaking in the summer months.
