My “A-Team” and I just arrived back from the NECCC conference, held in Amherst, MA. It was a great weekend filled with great classes and workshops, sharing techniques, and seeing new gear!
From extraordinary iPhone photography and workflow with Jerry Hug, to a presentation on composition and lens choice with the world’s greatest bird photographer, Arthur Morris.
It was exciting to hang out with such talented photographic teachers Deb Sandidge and Rick Friedman, I’m happy to call them friends. It was also fantastic to be able to connect with folks from the Westchester Camera Club, the Bronx Zoo, Stony Brook Camera Club, Merrimack Valley Camera Club, Charter Oak Camera Club, Greater Lynn Camera Club, and more. It’s always nice to catch-up with regional camera clubs and hear how everyone is doing and see where their photography is headed.
There were a number of new products at on display, but none more exciting than seeing the Nikon D810, in person! Very cool. Panasonic also had their newest Micro 4/3’s camera, the GH4, and Fujifilm brought out an X-T1 for attendees to test out. Great variety.
I’d like to give a big thank you to all the vendors who made the event possible, but most importantly I’d like to thank Audrey Weigold for the years of dedication working on the NECCC conference, Dennis Goulet who did a great job with event promotion, and Susan Mosser organizing another great event. I’m looking forward to next year’s NECCC conference for 2015 NECCC, July 17th-19th. Mark your calendars and I will see you next year!
