Hunt’s Photo Melrose will once again be hosting a gallery of photographs taken by students from our Hunt’s Photo Walks at our yearly Spring Digital Days Show on May 12th & 13th. However, rather than just picking any old walk and having you submit images, we are holding two separate photo contests. We are asking for you to consider submitting an image taken on a Photo Walk either in Boston or an image taken on a Photo Walk at Sturbridge Village. The images in the gallery will connect to the two talks given by Don Toothaker at the show on May 12th & 13th, when he will discuss the topics of photographing in Boston and at Sturbridge Village. Due to our limited gallery space, we will only have the ability to display 14 images- seven from each category. We are asking that if you are interested in participating, please enter your best photo for a chance to have your image selected by a panel of our judges. Photographers of chosen images will receive the print after the show has ended. Please make sure to read all the contest rules & guidelines before submitting.
Contest Rules and Guidelines for Submission
-Your image must have been taken on a Hunt’s Photo Walk in Boston or at Sturbridge Village. (In Boston includes Ft. Warren, the Mass State House, and we are also including Cambridge in as well because it’s pretty close.)
-Your image should be a full resolution JPEG. You are welcome to do any editing to the image that you would like.
-If your image is selected to be printed, it will be printed 13×19″. Please crop accordingly.
-Please name your photo with your name and the walk on which is was taken. For example, “PaulNelsonZakimBridge.jpg”
-Do not include any watermarks on your photograph, as they will be printed. A watermark will not disqualify your image, but it makes printing the photo more difficult.
-All images should be uploaded to the following location by May 2nd at 11:59pm:

-We are limiting one submission per person. You can submit up until 11:59pm on 5/2. Photos will be chosen after that time.
-All selected images will be displayed in our Hunt’s Gallery leading up to and during our annual Spring Digital Days Show on May 12th & 13th, on view for thousands of budding photographers. Your name and the walk you attended will be included below the print.
-As an added incentive, one submission per category will be chosen at random and the photographer will receive free admission to one future photo walk (valued at $79.99).
